The Spring 2024 WC4BL scholarship application is now closed. Please check back in the fall for further scholarship opportunities.

The UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program Chapter of White Coats for Black Lives (WC4BL) awards $500-$1000 scholarships to current pre-medical/health UC Berkeley students. WhiteCoats4BlackLives is a national, medical student-run organization that aims to dismantle racism in medicine and advocate for the health of Black people and other people of color. The chapter at UC Berkeley is the initiative of students at the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program (JMP).

This scholarship is intended to support students in their pre-health/medical school application journey. Past scholarship recipients have used this money for MCAT/GRE resources and test costs, application fees, and interview expenses, though the scholarship can be used at your discretion.

  • Asian: Filipino, Hmong, or Vietnamese only

  • Hispanic/Latinx

  • Native American/Alaskan Native
